<div>Die etwa faustgroße DFM-06 des Herstellers Graw aus Nürnberg in D ist inzwischen historisch und dürfte kaum noch eingesetzt werden. Das zweiteilige Schaumstoffgehäuse ist ein etwas abgerundeter Würfel, zusammen gehalten von einer flachen Banderole aus Kunststoff samt einem eingeschraubten Stift, der auch das Fadenende aufnimmt. Im Gehäuse stecken zwei quadratische Leiterkarten auf Daumenabstand. Sie sind an den Ecken mit Vierkantstiften verlötet. Zwei separat getaktete i8051-Controller steuern die Sonde. Sie sind nur einmalig programmierbar und gegen Auslesen geschützt. Zwei eingelötete 123-Lithium-Zellen stellen die Versorgung sicher. Ein Negativregler hält die Spannung konstant.<br />
Die DFM-06 ist durch eine recht genaue GPS-Position leicht zu orten. Die Sonde ist schwimmfähig und arbeitet auch im Wasser weiter. Gern fällt sie allerdings durch zu lange Kälte in der Höhe aus. Beim Abstieg fällt auch gern mal die HF aus und gerät in wilde Schwingungen. Oder die Versorgung geht noch in der Luft zu Ende und die Sonde landet irgendwo ganz ohne Signal. <br />
